Energy Savings
BEAUTY-MARKŪ awnings reduce solar heat gain
by up to 65% on south facing windows and up to 77% on west facing windows.
Significant interior heat gain is reduced by blocking the sun's harmful alpha
rays. BEAUTY-MARKŪ awnings block heat better than
double pane glass and protect carpets, drapes and furniture from fading,
protecting your investments while preserving the beauty of your home or office.
BEAUTY-MARKŪ awnings have been thoroughly tested
to withstand heavy wind and snow load conditions. The test results exceeded
building code requirements for hurricane wind speeds of Florida (125 mph) and
snow loads of Chicago.
Frames
All BEAUTY-MARKŪ awning frames and parts are
constructed of heavy gauge powder coated steel or structural aluminum. The
awnings meet UBC requirements and have been tested for wind loads and snow
loads. Detailed instructions for installation regarding UBC physical placement
requirements are included in each box. Also included are assembly and
installation hardware, and printed instructions with photos.
Fabric & Thread
BEAUTY-MARKŪ awnings are sewn with Isoray UV
monofilament threads. Isoray threads increase the strength and longevity of the
awning cover while providing greater resistance to sunlight, mildew, and
chemicals than ordinary polyester threads. Most polyester threads have a cotton
core. Unlike our Isoray threads, the cotton core will rot over time and cause
the seams to break.
Binding
BEAUTY-MARKŪ awnings are trimmed with CCF Dycron
binding that provides excellent resistance to ultraviolet rays and weathering.
This trim has a beautiful braided look and feel.
