The extra-long Gelco Model E 17 inch x 58 inch Base Stainless Steel Multi-Flue Chimney Cap will help you cover your multiple, oddly-sized, or unlined chimney flues, and it gives you coverage for your entire chimney crown. You can attach the cap with either cap screws or wing nuts (both types are included), designed with weld nut technology to keep threads from being stripped. The 8-inch high screen made with 3/4-inch steel mesh will ensure that smoke escapes the chimney. The chimney cap also comes with a lifetime warranty.

* Please Note: If your flue tiles extend more than 3 in. above the chimney crown, use a chimney cap with larger screen heights. Examples are the Chimney Protector with 10 in. or 12 in. high screens or the knock-down models of the Gelco Stainless Steel Multi-Flue Chimney Top with 12 in or 16 in screen heights.

What are size is the mounting strip? Why is it perforated?

Answer:

The mounting strip is 1.5" wider than the screen width of the chimney cap. The mounting strip is also perforated allowing you to adhere the cap to the chimney crown using masonry anchors in combination with a masonry adhesive.
