Refractory Panel
I was very pleased with the speedy service from this store. I cut the panel with a combination of masonry blades in a skill saw and a diamond blade in a small grinder . I found that the diamond blade was the easier way to go . Less mess and the beveled edges and final fitting were simple to accomplish . I haven't needed the fireplace since I replaced the back panel but I will certainly be purchasing a fireback to protect the panel I just replaced. Satisfied with the service but the product won't get a workout until fall .

Excellent Service
First one I received was cracked. Sent email to company and promptly received another one. Very fast service. Was easy to install but you must buy the proper blade to cut it. No complaints at all

Easy to cut with an angle grinder and a stone cutting blade. Heavy, but not too heavy to manage while cutting and manipulate into place. Don't be mislead by the posted delivery time of 10 business days. Mine arrived 4 days after I ordered it.
ProsEasy to cut Easy to manipulate into place

Is as Advertised
The panel arrived well packed and in excellent condition. I have not installed it yet but upon examination, I see that it can be cut easily with an industrial diamond saw like any tile cutting saw. It is an excellent replacement for the 2000 model Superior fireplace we have even though the color and tile size is different than our model. It will be used as a rear panel and will not show much. The product does come with a rounded side (a radius) so it could be used for a side panel on our model. Other sites have similar products and have a lower price but will then charge $80 for shipping. The all-in-one price is fair.

ProsAfter I cut it to size it fit like a charm. I would recommend using a diamond tip blade for cutting.

Good replacement fireplace panel
This item worked great as a replacement panel to a cracked back panel in my house. I think the old panel was cracked due to too much heat, and replacing this with 1 solid piece let me more at ease that something wasn't going to catch on fire. Just make sure you have a diamond blade bit for your saw to cut this down to size to fit in your fireplace, and you should be good to go.

Review of refactory panel
I found that this panel is a lot larger (thickness) than the one I replaced. It was easy to cut once I found out what to use to cut it. This produce installed with no problem. I replaced only the back panel and after about a month I noticed a slight crack in the panel. I have no idea what might have caused this. At this time the crack is not causing a problem. Overall, I am compleatly satisfied with this product.
