My wood stove flue and the male end of the pipe that is supposed to connect to it are both the same 6 inch outside diameter so that they just sit perfectly on top of each other instead of the male piece fitting in. Will this adaptor help with that?
1 Answer
This is indeed what this adapter is designed for, however it is only designed and tested to be used with 6" Duravent DVL double wall stovepipe.

I have this adapter for my stove but it seems loose on top of the stove. It doesn't click in or anything. Is it the wrong size, or is this normal for this piece? If its wrong, is there some cement or something that I can seal it with?
1 Answer
You can determine the size of the gap by moving the adapter and pipe so you can measure to get the size of the gap you have. We suggest once you get the measurement, you can use fiberglass rope as a gasket to seal up the gap.

I am looking to purchase an Osburn 2000 and install it in my living room, which has a cathedral ceiling. The ceiling is 2 x 6 and I cannot figure out what piece I would have to use in order to connect the stove pipe through the 6" deep ceiling to the chimney pipe. Can you help me with this?
1 Answer
Our cathedral ceiling support box pulls double duty as a support for the chimney pipe above the roof and as a safe point to transition from stove pipe to chimney pipe. Like most venting components, cathedral boxes are brand specific so you'll want to be sure to use commonly branded pipe for all of your stove pipe, chimney pipe and transition components. If you'd like to complete our chimney quote form, we'd be happy to build a chimney system quote for you.
