I recently moved into a home with a 6 inch older chimney with no liner it. I had a chimney guy come check it out & said if I want to burn in this chimney I need a liner. Is this something to insert into a wood burning chimney & be able to burn wood? Also on your website when it says 6 inch diameter, does this mean this pipe would fit inside of my 6 inch round chimney or would I have to buy 5 inch so it would slide down my 6 inch Chimney?

Answer:

You would indeed need to re-line your chimney with 5" diameter liner, as the outer-diameter of this and our other 6" liners is a bit more than 6". Please see one example below:
