Installing this chimney fan may be able to solve fireplace draft problems by creating its own draft. This chimney fan is made of cast aluminum and stainless steel. The motor is fully enclosed, making it maintenance free, and has air-cooled, pre-lubricated, sealed ball bearings. The fan kit includes a prewired junction box, a fan speed control and bird screen. This fan is economical, and uses only about as much electricity as a regular light bulb. This is a 10-year manufacturer's warranty against corrosion, a 2-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Before installing, check local building codes and have the 110V wiring installed by a certified electrician. The base size is 12" W x 12" L x 10" H. If the flue opening is larger than the base of the fan, use sheet metal to cover the flue opening with a hole that corresponds with the fan base.
