I have a 2 x 4 exterior wall with vinyl siding and a thickness close to 6". I plan to place my fireplace as close as possible to the interior wall and vent straight out. Will this termination kit be too long? How far to the interior does the vent pipe extend once it's connected to the unit?

Answer:
As it comes, this vent piping would indeed be slightly longer than needed for your needs. However, because the piping is collapsible and smooth on the inward ends, it can be trimmed to be shorter. With the overlap to the termination and shield taken into account, the pipe would extend approximately 3 inches past the interior wall surface when the adjustable pipe is fully collapsed.
