This propane vented Counterflow wall furnace by Empire generates up to 55,000 BTUs and 76 percent A.F.U.E. This furnace easily installs on outside walls and can be recessed between wall studs. Featuring electronic ignition, this furnace includes 24 volt electric thermostat and counterflow blower with automatic safety shut-off. The removable front panels allow for convenient cleaning and servicing, and both propane and natural gas models are available. This wall mount furnace comes with 10 year warranty for combustible chamber and 1 year limited warranty for parts.

What does an "electric ignition" mean? Does this unit have a pilot light or does the gas turn completely off when the furnace isn't running?
