It's OK
Now that I have the blower in and it’s working, I’d say it was a good price and I’m glad I got it. But it is rather noisy, and when we were trying to put it in, a couple of solders broke, and I had to resolder them. You might want to be sure you know somebody who has a soldering iron before you order, just in case you have the same problem we did.

Magnets and Thermal Switch Really Help
I like the magnets on this unit, which are very helpful when you’re inserting it. And I recommend you get the Thermal Switch too, so it can turn itself on and off, depending on how hot the stove is. I haven’t found the noise of the blower to be a problem. I’m happy with it and would recommend it to others.

Install It Right and Reduce Noise
Sometimes people complain about the noise these blowers cause. Yes, they do cause noise, but we’ve found it’s worth it for all the benefits of having the blower. And we also found that if you install the blower correctly, using the magnets and making sure everything is put together tightly, it minimizes the noise. We figured this out even though there weren’t any instructions included (which was disappointing). Before we put this blower in, the fireplace area and walls around it would get really hot, but the heat didn’t spread evenly throughout the house. It kind of made us nervous, frankly, when the walls and mantel would get so hot. Now we feel safer, and we’re saving money too, because the stove now heats a larger area more efficiently.

Saving Us So Much Money
The old saying, “It pays for itself” is true about this unit. Our heating bills are definitely lower since we installed it. Yes, the unit makes some noise, but that really doesn’t bother us because it’s so efficient. It was easy to put in too, and I’m no home handy man!

Very Easy to Install
I was happy to get the blower in the mail and see how well it had shipped and to have it arrive in good shape. The magnets make it a cinch to mount—really, anybody could do it. Once installed, it doesn’t make much noise and really dissipates the heat throughout our home.

Nice Replacement Fan
First off, let me say that overall this is a good replacement fan. It’s economically priced, and in my case it’s better than the fan that came with my fireplace originally. I do have a few small complaints, though. I wish it attached with Velcro rather than magnets. I think that would cut down on the noise, which is somewhat of a distraction. Also, one of the wires came loose. I was able to fix it pretty easily, but still…. But I don’t want to sound too gripey. Other than those small issues, we really like it.

Better than the Original
My fireplace came with a blower, but it was really noisy and really didn’t circulate the air well. When it died, I bought this one and really like it—it’s quieter and it really propels the heat out. It was easy to install, too, because of the magnets. Just took a few minutes. I’m very happy with it!

Bought Two of Them
We have two fireplaces without vents in our house, so I purchased two of these. They came fast and weren’t damaged during shipment. I put them in easily and quickly. The only slight down side is that they are somewhat noisy, but not unreasonably so. They’re well worth the money and do the job.

Good Price
Considering how little it cost, this was a great purchase for our family. Not only was the initial cost low, but it keeps saving us money by spreading the heat throughout the house. The noise doesn’t bother us at all—we think of it as the sound of saving money!
