A fireplace hood directs the hot air produced by your fireplace in a downward direction, away from the surround and mantel that you have chosen and installed so carefully. This is especially important when the mantel is made of sensitive materials like wood that could be damaged by excessive heat. This item has a 2" brow, a black finish and is 42" long, and will be appropriate for use with Vantage Hearth's direct vent gas fireplaces. This item is not compatible with VCD Value Advantage or multi-view models.
