A safety pilot kit is an important addition to your log set. It contains a valve that shuts off the gas flow if the pilot is extinguished or if the gas flow is interrupted in any way. Gas leaks and subsequent accidents may be avoided with the use of this pilot kit. The package includes the valve, pilot, handle extension, 3/8" pipe and screws, and the shield. This safety pilot kit is to be used with vented gas logs only.

Is there a way to adjust the pilot light flame on this unit?

Answer:

There is a small adjustment screw, just forward of the pilot supply tube on the valve body. Rotating the screw will adjust the pilot. The valve must be in the pilot position for proper adjustments to be made.
