Pros: Huge tent! Easy to assemble, as long as you can lift 40 pounds and are at least six feet tall (which I am). Extremely sturdy. Great in hot summer weather! Cons: If you can’t lift at least 40 pounds and are shorter than six feet, carrying and assembling this tent are going to be problems for you. Not the best in cold weather. You may need bigger stakes and a bigger ground sheet. Other thoughts: I’m six-four, so assembly of this big boy isn’t hard for me. (I can do it in about 20 minutes.) I really like the fact that only three poles on the ceiling have to be threaded through sleeves—easier to assemble that way! And I appreciate the seven-foot ceiling! Lots of ventilation is great in the summer. In the winter, though, the large surface area and vents make it hard to keep it warm. Although we haven’t had trouble with it, the wind could blow it over if you don’t keep it well tied down.

Great Tent for Large Families
April 29, 2013
We’re a family of five, with three small children, and if you’re looking for a tent big enough to hold a big family, this is it! Now, because it’s so big it’s not lightweight or easily packable. But it’s great for families—tall enough for Dad, windows that allow good ventilation, a divider wall to keep parents and kids separated. It includes an electric port so you can run a fan when it’s hot. Good construction, great quality, no problems with the tent. Need a big tent for a big family? I definitely recommend this model! (Here’s one warning, though—you will need two people to put it up.)

Ultra-Comfy Palace
July 27, 2012
My wife and I call this our ultra-comfy palace! I own four tents, and this is the biggest of the four. Be aware that it’s so big it may not fit some campsites—but it’s great to use if you have the room. Great shade, great ventilation—we open the windows and basically turn it into a screen house. We bring tons of stuff along—queen-size air mattress, river tubes, table, chairs, etc.—and have room to spare. Negatives are only what you would expect from a big tent—heavy to transport, can be difficult to set up. Be sure to set out all the guy lines! Well worth the effort, though! Our friends often express their jealousy over our Bedouin-sized palace! Want something bigger? Get an inflatable Bounce Castle! :)

Big with Plenty of Storage Space
February 20, 2011
Negatives: Wish there was an awning! Setup is difficult if you don’t have the instructions I recommend a dry-run setup first. Positives: Two people can set it up in about 12 minutes. It’s big! Even with two queen-sized air mattresses in there we had room to play games when it rained. Includes a partition to divide it into two rooms if you want to. Doors on both sides are nice—kids can have their own entrance. I like the storage space—pockets on the walls and partition, plus an overhead net. The tent also held up well in a downpour we had. I love this brand and have owned tents made by this company for 25 years!
