Larger Than Expected
April 11, 2014
This tent is great, but it is much bigger than I thought it would be. I had originally intended to use it for backpacking trips, but because of its size will use it for car camping instead.

Pleased Overall
June 26, 2013
We used this tent for camping on the Appalachian Trail, and it did very well. It kept us quite warm and only had a small amount of water where the rain fly does not quite cover one area of the bottom of the tent. I really like the extra space for backpacks. We were able to fit three people inside comfortably. I would definitely purchase this tent again.

Sturdy and Dry
September 21, 2012
I purchased this tent for both car camping and backpacking trips. My first three-day trip with the tent proved its worth immediately. The tent weighs about 6.5 pounds, which is a little heavy for backpacking unless you can share the load with another person. It took only about five minutes to set up. The rain fly's color-coding and adjustable straps made it very easy to handle. All the zippers work well, and the hardware seemed sturdy. The spacious vestibule areas kept my gear dry even in the wind and rain. I don't think water will be a problem with this tent since the seams are taped and there is a thick bathtub floor. Large mesh doors provide great air flow as well as preventing condensation buildup. The tent held up well to 25 mph winds. Multiple storage pockets and an overhead storage area are very nice also. I don't like the fiberglass poles or all clip frame but am otherwise very pleased. It is a great tent for the money.

Dry and Sturdy Even in Snow
March 7, 2012
A weekend camping in Tahoe National Forest proved the worth of this tent. Eight inches of snow fell during the night, and the tent stood strong. The floor of the tent also stayed dry. I am very impressed with the quality of this product.

Great for a Biker
May 13, 2011
This tent was purchased to enable my wife and I to take long weekend trips with a minimum of baggage or expense. I am a biker, and the tent is compact enough to carry easily on the bike or when backpacking. The tent is well constructed to handle rain and high winds. It is also spacious enough for me (six feet five inches and 280 pounds) and my wife (five feet three inches and 125 pounds).

Great in Inclement Weather
May 10, 2011
After spending several nights in this tent in inclement weather, I am very pleased with the product. Despite temperatures of 20 degrees and sleet and snow, I stayed dry and out of the wind. Set up and tear down were quick and easy. I like the useful storage pockets in the tent as well as the net at the dome for holding a light. The only drawback I found is the zipper. It did not track easily, and I was afraid of breaking it.

Problems with Leaking
March 17, 2011
I have used this tent about six times over the last two years. It is a bit bulky and heavy yet does not have quite enough space for a queen air mattress. It is easy to put up, and the vestibules are very nice. The last time I used it we encountered some very heavy rain and the tent leaked significantly. I realize that tents need periodic maintenance, but I would not expect it to be due for repair after only using it six times. I have had this problem previously with another Eureka tent but have had better luck with tents from other manufacturers.

Recommended for Motorcycle Trips
February 24, 2011
I purchased this tent based on its positive reviews and attractive price. It is a two-man tent, but I use it for just myself. It has plenty of space for my gear as well. I would especially recommend this product for long motorcycle trips.

Poor Customer Service
April 9, 2010
This tent was purchased for my Webelos Scout based on good reviews and an advertisement in the scouting magazine. The tent is easy to set up and has a good rain fly. Despite sealing the seams and applying waterproofing, the tent leaked on the second use. We returned the tent to Eureka, but they sent it back claiming that the leak was due to condensation and a faulty footprint layout. I am very unhappy with the customer service I received and will choose a different tent for my next purchase.

Ideal Size for Motorcycle Camping
February 24, 2010
I am very pleased with this tent. I have used it for nearly three years for motorcycle camping. It is very easy to put up and tear down, taking my wife and only about fifteen minutes. It handles a range of temperatures well, and only once did it collect any condensation. I would of course recommend seam sealer and waterproofing as is needed with any tent. The two vestibules are great for storage or boots. While there are other tents available that are slightly lighter, they are much more expensive. For biking though, I am more concerned about the packed size than weight. This one packs easily into a small case, yet it still has plenty of space for two people and a little gear inside. When I buy my next tent, I will probably get the next larger size but otherwise would not change a thing.

Perfect Except the Stakes
July 18, 2009
This tent has worked well for camping trips with my son. Although I am a big guy and use a long sleeping bag, there is plenty of space for both of us. I really like the two vestibule areas and the easy set up of this tent. My one issue is with the tent stakes. As is true of most tents, they are made of cheap material and bend easily. I wish that tent companies would include better quality stakes even if it makes their tents a little more expensive. I end up spending the money to replace them later anyway. Other than the stakes, I would rate this tent as perfect.

Good Tent for the Money
June 11, 2009
My son and I agree that this tent is a great product for the price we paid for it. It has done well in all sorts of weather including rain, wind, and high humidity. It is quick and easy to set up and tear down. I really like the two doors and vestibule areas, and the interior fits two people quite comfortably. It has a good design, but it is a little heavier than some two-man tents. The lighter tents, however, are much more expensive. I think it is a great tent for the cost.
