Good morning. We purchased a 28EF023GRA Electric Classic Flame Fireplace Nov. 2012 and installed it in a customer's home. She called this AM and said that her fireplace is great, works great, but the remote quit working. She has replaced the batteries in it and it still does not work. Do you have any suggestions?

Answer:Unfortunately, there is not much troubleshooting that can be performed on this model, as the remote receiver is internal. If the batteries have been replaced and it has been verified that there is no corrosion on the battery contacts inside the remote, it may simply be defective. Because the unit is barely beyond the warranty period, Classic Flame may still honor it and process a claim for a new remote.
