Love the Pouches Inside the Tent
July 5, 2013
Let me give you some background information so that you can understand precisely from where we are coming. Prior to owning this tent, we owned a smaller version of it. Since there are two of us and we usually bring along our dogs, we decided that this tent would be an ideal choice and it is! The interior is spacious, and when opened the windows are large, allowing a good deal of light to come streaming in and illumine the interior. During the course of our trip it did rain a good bit. At the beginning, the tent managed to keep us dry, but towards the end of our trip, signs of leakage began to emerge in the interior, especially along the inner walls. One note: watch out for the zipper. On our previous tent, we had similar issues. Also, the rain fly is a little hit or miss at times, providing good coverage some times and less than stellar service at other times.

Great Tent But Poor Warranty
July 5, 2013
This is a great tent, but the one major issue that I have with it is that the warranty could be significantly better. I've owned this particular brand of tent for over twenty years and have used it repeatedly over that time period. On a whole, the tent is in great shape, but unfortunately, the waterproofing on the interior has begun to breakdown, causing the interior walls to become somewhat sticky. What is a bit frustrating is that after reporting this problem, customer service officials refuse to acknowledge any of the problems and will not send any replacement parts. The line of reasoning that I am given is that this particular problem has to do with the expected wear and tear and is not a defect per se, thereby not making me eligible for a replacement part.

Not a Good Investment
July 5, 2013
After purchasing and using this tent, I have decided I will never buy it again. They simply do not stand by their product. This tent costs a good bit of money, yet I could go the much less expensive route of purchasing a sealant and it would do the job of keeping the water out. No matter how much sealing we did on the seams of the tent, it would always leak, resulting in a puddle of water in the middle of the floor.. What is very frustrating about this is that after a good deal of research on this brand, I had concluded that it was a good idea to purchase this tent due to all of the positive reviews. After the disaster outlined above, I find myself in the market again for a tent, looking around for a product that actually lives up to its billing. I am quite frustrated that the manufacturer is putting their reputation on a third party rather than deciding to offer a good product that is capable of providing the owner with adequate service.

Good Value That Is Worth the Money
July 5, 2013
This tent is a good buy, although when I bought it, the selling price was a little higher than it is today. Overall, I can give this tent four stars. The roof of the tent is seven feet high and the rain fly is quite large. Unfortunately, this tent does not get a five star rating because the instructions say that one person can set it up, but because of the sheer size of the tent, it is almost impossible for a single person to accomplish this. We gave this tent its trial run during a two night camping trip to Acadia National Park. Initially, I tried to put it up by myself but found it to be impossible and asked for help. With the assistance of a second person, it was quite easy to get everything up and in place. The tent has four windows, and even though it did get a little warm during the day, the cross ventilation at the top managed to make things stay comfortable regardless of the outdoor temperature. The reviews online raved about this tent, and all I can say is that they are right on and that it lives up to its billing.

Great Tent With an Excellent Service Record
July 5, 2013
We have owned this tent for ten years, and as a family of five, we can say that it has served us well during that time. Since we are about to become a family of six, we will need to get a bigger tent, since this version managed to just fit everything that we brought along on camping trips. During the time we have used this tent, it has rarely leaked and the zipper has hardly ever gotten snagged. The only big issue is that this year, a pole broke. On a whole, we are a little less than satisfied with how the poles hold while assembly.

Spacious Tent That Is Well Ventilated
July 5, 2013
The size of this tent is both a blessing and a curse. It is a blessing because it is both airy and spacious. The problem is that if it is overly windy outside, it tends to get blown around making the assembly process a little bit more cumbersome. We found this out while camping in Yellowstone, and the solution to the problem was to stake it down and then set it up.

Tall, Roomy Tent
July 5, 2013
If you are in the market for a tent and want to get one that is great value at a terrific price, then buy this one, because they do not get any better than this. The reviews are right on; it really is a fantastic buy. The set up and take down are very easy, and it is both tall and roomy. During three nights of very heavy rain in Texas, the tent did not leak at all. At the end of this sojourn, mud did begin to seep in slowly, but that is because the tent had been sitting in a sea of mud and muck for three days. This tent comes equipped with a netting organizer, allowing all of the occupants to organize all of their possessions so that you can store them in a safe spot prior to retiring for the evening.

Completely Satisfied Customer
July 5, 2013
In terms of customer satisfaction, we can comfortably say that so far, we are 100% satisfied with the results that this tent has provided with us so far. The only negative to mention is that the stakes are a little cheesy and struggle if the soil gets a little rocky. The rain fly installation instructions are not the most straightforward, but in reality, these are trifles compared to all of the positives that this tent provides. During the search for a tent, we looked at quite a few family tents. After several failed attempts, we came across this tent and instantly realized that this one is quite different from all of the tents that are currently for sale on the market. It has a spacious interior and it does not take that much time to set up (It typically takes us between ten to fifteen minutes). Overall, it has a lot of very nice features and is not loaded down with a lot of gimmicks.

Spacious And Airy Tent
July 5, 2013
While the size of this tent is a definite plus, the one downside is that it can make finding a good camp site a bit of a challenge at times. This tent is spacious and airy, as well as it very well ventilated. One word of caution: make sure that you stake it down prior to setting it up or else the wind might blow it away.

Tent That Is Highly Recommended
July 5, 2013
I highly recommend the purchase of this tent. Our first tent we had for over ten years, and in 2010 we bought the same model. In both cases we were very satisfied with the results that we received. From nightmarish storms to dangerous lightning strikes, this tent has kept us safe repeatedly. Not only is it well ventilated but also it comes with excellent seems (I recommend that you seal the seams yearly to insure that this tent is able to last for a long time.) With the center of the tent reaching seven feet high, it is really nice to have a tent that is tall enough that people can stand up in and move around without needing to bend over. This is one excellent tent.

Impressive Tent, Great Design
July 5, 2013
My wife and I enjoy camping very much and have camped in all sorts of different conditions. For car camping we chose the Sunrise 11 and have been very happy with it. It has plenty of room for my wife and I (even though it is a six person tent we like extra room) as well as any gear we need to bring. WE have used it for over a month of camping and have only had two problems that were my fault. One, I forgot to seam seal one part of the tent (you have to seam seal all tents), but even then it was only a tiny puddle with maybe a few tablespoons of liquid. The other problem I had when staking it down improperly and some extremely high winds tore part of one of the pole sleeves. Even though it was my fault, Eureka repaired the tent for free. I have gotten plenty of heavy weather use out of this tent and expect it to last for a while to come.

Eureka Sunrise 11 tent
September 8, 2007
This tent replaced our old kelty 10X10 that we had for 12 years. The quality for the price is excellent. It is floor material is not as heavy as our previous tent, and when set on a rocky camping site, it can be damaged. You must use a good quality ground cloth. We encountered a heavy rain one night, and the tent stayed very dry. I would recommend it to a family of 4, with plenty of room.
