For the Occasional Camper
The Outfitter model by Eureka has been such a great tent that I have bought three in the last twenty years or so. There was plenty of reinforcement in the stress points and once the seams were sealed they were durable. That tent is no longer available and the replacement is less quality. It no longer has the heavy duty floor, but even though it is seam sealed it is inadequate. The design of the tent is still the best design unless you need a tent for use in heavy snow. Since it covers a smaller area, you can use it almost anywhere without having to clear out a big space. It is easy to set the tent up even if you leave the fly attached. The front and back can be opened for air circulation during rain unless the wind is blowing too much. I miss my old tents, but this one is passable for those who camp occasionally.

Tent Keeps You Dry
Not only do I highly recommend this tent but also I want to recommend the corresponding vestibule as well. It will keep you tight and dry, but do not use it if it is windy.

Overall Very Pleased
Overall I was rather pleased with this tent. There are several things about it that I really liked. I do a good deal of mountain camping, and the nights get pretty cool, so I wanted a tent that is made for multiple seasons. This tent keeps you warm but does breathe well enough to prevent any condensation. My first time to use this tent was during some rough weather. I was rather happy with how well the tent held up. One negative aspect is the mesh screening. This tent has it on the door and the rear window. The floor is made out of a material that is too thin. The best way to work with that is to take along something to cover the floor.

Overall a Good Tent
The floor is thin, thereby diminishing our satisfaction with this tent, but overall, it is still a great tent to own and use. Originally, we decided to use this for a remote camping trip in the Rocky Mountains. The tent held up quite well, easily standing up to strong winds. Additionally, it is able to keep the inside relatively warm on a cool night. The tent is small and can accommodate only two people, so plan on storing all of your camping gear outside.

Perfect Tent for Car Camping
We have owned this specific tent model for close to six years, and it is in quite good shape. This tent is quite light and since we primarily do car camping (with the exception of one hike-in camping trip), it is hard to say precisely how it would fare if someone were to use it on a backpacking trip. It is quite easy to set up and for the most part and does a good job in keeping all of the water out.

Excellent Tent
This tent comes at a great price. Overall, the quality is outstanding. Even though it can sleep two people, it would not be that comfortable, but it is ideal for one person and all of their equipment.

Outstanding Tent
This tent is outstanding, and I would recommend it to anyone. I water proofed it prior to camping trip I went on in Oregon, it was for two weeks and was in the middle of winter. I had no issues with water leaking in whatsoever.

Great Tent to Own
This is a great tent to have. It is small and lightweight, making it ideal to use for hiking and camping trips (I also recommend the purchase of the floor saver for this model, which is a great tool to have). I decided to purchase this tent for my grandson's first scout camping trip because of my background as a former Boy Scout leader. My grandson's troop uses the same tent, which is a design that has not changed since my son went through the scouts.

Inadequate for Rough Camping
This tent is inadequate if camping in rough weather. Once the wind picks up this tent becomes a hazard and is unmanageable.

Good Value for a Good Tent
The value of this tent is incomparable. I have used the Timberline for years and am pleased to say that it was with high hopes that I bought this tent. I only have a couple criticisms, and even those are minor. One is that there are a number of parts to lose if you are not careful (I didn't have any problems with this). The other would be that if you camp in freezing conditions some frost will form on the inside wall of the tent, but overall this is not the norm for moisture in this tent. Ventilation is excellent (there is a lot of mesh in the tent), and there is plenty of space for a couple people. I have taken the tent backpacking and hitch-hiking before, and (at a little under six pounds) less than three pounds for each person is very light. I really think that if you are looking for a good tent for a good price, you can't go wrong with this one.

Light Weight Tent
This tent is light weight and ideal for any hiking trips on which you plan to go. This tent can fit two people but it is not particularly roomy. It does, however, keep all of the occupants tight and dry.

Easy Set Up Any Time
I personally believe this to be one of the best tent designs that have ever been developed. If is light and very easy to set up even if it is dark out. I remember using tents such as these when I was a scout.
