Sometimes the smallest items are among the most important. Fireplace Keys and Valves can really enhance the function of your fireplace, in many cases providing a convenient, safe method of turning the gas on or off, controlling a heating appliance's output, or otherwise managing your fireplace's function away from the burner itself. There are all sorts of keys and valves for all sorts of appliances and situations, so take a moment to familiarize yourself with your fireplace setup and the type of valve you need. Once you've done that, pick any of the Fireplace Keys and Valves that fit your needs and take advantage of the affordability and convenience they can bring to your home.

Can I buy the gas and electric guts of the fireplace insert, and retain my current logs?
1 Answer
We would need to know which insert you are interested in the model number or at least the size and type of pilot of your current log set. Please reply with the information and we will be happy to help.

I need a gas log key that is compatible with 5/16" square gas log lighter valves. Do you have one or know where I can get one?
1 Answer
We recommend one of our universal fireplace keys, such as the Dante Universal Gas Key - 8 Inches - Chrome Finish or the Dante Universal Gas Key - 3 Inches - Chrome Finish. Depending on the depth of the valve in the wall or floor, you can choose the different length to your specifications.

Are fireplace keys standard or can the sizes be different?
1 Answer
Fireplace keys will generally fall into a set range of diameters. The keys we carry usually fit 1/4" gas valve stems, but some fit both 1/4" and 5/16" gas valve stems. The sizes will be listed on each individual item page.
