They’re Not Born in the USA, but They’re Still OK
April 2, 2012
The tag says they are, but they are in fact from China. We were concerned that the paint used would be toxic and that the fire would induce toxic release. However, we’ve been pleasantly surprised to find these have held up extremely well. Each tool is very strong and durable. They also look great. The broom isn’t quite as well made as I’d hoped, but it is fairly sturdy and the bristles are not plastic and thus won’t melt from the heat. The price is also hard to beat. Stove stores wanted a lot more for their tool sets, and they weren’t as well made! In any case, I was hoping to avoid a product from China, and I searched long and hard to be able to do that, but in the end, we’re happy we settled with this set.
