I'd like to install a vent free coal basket in a hallway with a staircase. The hallway is 12 feet long and opens to a large living room. Is this enough ventilation for a vent free heater?

Answer:
As long as there is not a possibility for a door to be shut between the hallway and the living room, the installation could definitely be done. The hallway by itself would be considered a confined space and would not be suitable for a vent free appliance. However, the adjacent living room could provide the additional volume of air needed, as long as it will always be open to the hallway.

I am looking for a insert like this one. Does it come in a 10,000 BTU? I need it for a bedroom.

While this has been a popular request, the manufacturer has yet to produce a bedroom approved, 10,000 BTU version of this unit. In addition, we do not offer an arched style of low output unit from another brand.
