This builder-grade item is a heat-circulating fireplace with design louvers. It comes in a durable powder coat finish and a full white refractory brick liner. It has a "Big Box" look with an oversized brick-to-brick opening, and is specifically designed for the builder's market. It uses only FMI 8" chimney and requires 1" minimum clearance. This item carries a 24-year limited manufacturer's warranty. The framing dimensions are: 44-1/4" W x 37-11/16" H x 22" D. The firebox dimensions are 42" FW x 28-1/2" BW x 21-3/8" H x 21-1/8" D.

I am interested in this unit, could you tell me how many square feet this unit is good for? This would possibly be used for supplemental heat.

Answer:
This is an open-faced woodburning fireplace meant primarily for aesthetic enhancement; the manufacturer does not provide BTU ratings because of its inefficient nature, as most heat is lost up the flue. For a supplemental zero clearance woodburning fireplace, we recommend one of the models below:

Does this fireplace blow warm air through vents on the front?

Answer:
Yes, the heat will come come out through the louvers or vents on the front. Adding a blower to the fireplace will increase the amount of heat coming out of the louvers making it much more efficient.
