It modulates the flames and is compatible both with Maxitrol MMVK series millivolt valve kits and other brands of kits that use the Maxitrol GV34 valve. The switch utilizes radio frequency to allow more control flexibility, and it installs easily in a wall receptacle box. This valve kit comes with 6" valve wires. You'll need four AA batteries (not included) to power the wall switch.
