The Mosquito Magnet Liberty mimics a human by emitting a plume of carbon dioxide (CO2), heat and moisture, and an additional attractant, octenol. This precise combination is irresistible to female mosquitoes (the ones that bite), no-see-ums, biting midges, black flies, and sandflies. OUR HOME IS ON A ROAD WITHIN A MILE OF A CAMPGROUND ON THE RIVER, SO YOU CAN IMAGINE THE MOSQUITOS WE HAD.....BEFORE WE BOUGHT OUR MOSQUITO MAGNET!!! WE SEE SUCH A DIFFERENCE! THE PROOF IS IN THE NET.

this the 2nd mm liberty i have owned. the first one gave out after 5 years. i can honestly say this product works better than advertised.

This product did a great job this year near our pool. I was amazed an the number of mosquitos trapped. I was skeptical, but am so glad we made the purchase.

This product worked well for me. I live in Florida, on a bayou, where mosquitos are a big problem. The Mosquito Magnet definitely reduces the mosquito bites my family gets. I've had one of these units for several years. Every year or two I've had some difficulty with starting the unit, but the company has provided good support. I recommend this product.

Exactly what we needed!

Like many Internet-savy customers, I did a lot of research before purchasing my MM Liberty Plus. Most of the research avaialable shows that the Mosquito Magnet works much better than competitive units.

While I did not do a scientific study of this unit compared to others, I can tell you that I am amazed how well the Mosquito Magnet has worked for us. Every 21-22 days we replace the propane tank (there is a nice light you can see from yards away to tell you when it is time) and the attractant, and I empty the very full bag at least once per week.

I'm no scientist, but it seems that the placement of the trap is the single most important factor in its operation. We live on a canal at the mouth of a mostly-still freshwater lake. We placed our MM about 8 feet from the water, approximately 40' from our patio. We've had amazing results all summer! The only mosquito bites we got were from visits to other houses in the neighborhood- none at home.

I highly recommend the attractant with the trap. I ran out for about a week, and I noticed that during that week we caught many fewer mosquitos. And as soon as I replaced it, the bag was full again in a few days.

The only area that I think needs improvement is the plastic down-pipe and base of the unit. For such a professional product, I would have expected these pieces to be stronger feeling, maybe even made out of metal. But they work fine, and I'm sure there was a good reason the manufacturer chose this design (maybe other designs would have rusted, for example).

We are completely happy and are really enjoying our unscreened pool now.

I've had trouble starting my MM Liberty. It has a good electrical connection but the green light never comes on.
