This wood gourmet cook stove is a true double duty piece. You can heat your home with this wood gourmet cook stove, but you can also good ok it. This wood burning stove has a solid cast iron cook top surface with a removable hot plate. The flush top design allows you to easily slide pans around. You can easily access the ash pan whenever it needs cleaning. A compartment for wood storage is even built into the base.
* Please Note: If you choose to purchase a black door you will also need to purchase satin chrome handles.Separately purchased Blower Kits available.

Does the outside air accessory eliminate the need for a chimney? I'm interested in this model with all gold trim, the blower, a corner hearth pad (for over hardwood flooring) and the outside air vent if it eliminates the chimney---I'm building an addition now and don't want to penetrate the new roof if possible.
Exterior wall is 2x6 construction with exterior 1/2" sheathing with vinyl siding and interior 1/2" drywall.
What other accessories would I need?

Answer:
This unit will always require the use of a chimney, regardless of whether or not the outside air kit is used. The air kit is simply designed to provide a reliable source of combustion air for the fire, in the event that your house is very air tight. However, you do have the option of venting the stove horizontally through the outside wall and running the chimney up and along the side of the house. If you would like to do this instead, rather than penetrate the roof, please let me know. I will need to know how far the stove will be from the outside wall, the height of the roof eave from the ground, and the pitch of your roof. I will also need to know if you will plan to leave the chimney exposed or if you would enclose it in a decorative chase. Please advise at your convenience.
