If your top vent appliance requires a 5 by 8 inch vent system, this assembly finishes off that system with a flexible vent pipe and a wall terminal, including a sliding vinyl shield. Answer:
The manufacturer does not provide instructions for this vent kit alone. The venting instructions for your Napoleon unit that can utilize this kit will be included in your owner's manual. Please see pages 18-23 of the manual below for the Napoleon BGD42CFN Clean Face Direct Vent Gas Fireplace for one example of a unit that can use this vent kit:
