Ask & Answer
This Drolet Ultra-Quiet 130 Cfm Blower fits on Drolet Escape 1800 and Classic EPA model stoves and is designed to increase the efficiency of those heating appliances. As the name suggests, the blower is incredibly quiet and generates 130 cubic feet per minute of air distribution.

That distribution helps circulate air heated by the stove, making heating more even and more efficient. The variable speed control included on this model makes air circulation even easier to customize, making this blower a great stove addition and a cost-effective means of maintaining better temperature control.

Drolet blower fits perfectly
January 13, 2012
My husband & I purchased a used wood-burning stove for our 4-season porch. Once we got it home, however, my husband was disappointed that the blower-unit that came with it was not the right fit for that model stove. Thanks to your help we found the correct blower and it fits perfectly. I ordered the Drolet Quick Connect Thermodisc too as a bonus and my husband loves it! We are both very pleased. Excellent service, availability, and delivery time. Thank you!
Pros:
Fits our stove perfectly. Our stove is in a long room and this fan moves the heat efficiently from one end of the room to the other. Much quieter then the "wrong fit" fan that came with our used stove. Easy to install.
Cons:
The title is "ultra-quiet" which I would interpret as almost silent, however you can hear this fan. It is NOT LOUD by any means (and much quieter than many fans) but you CAN hear it. Fortunately, our stove is located AWAY our TV so it is more of a background noise and does not interfere with us hearing the TV.

Efficient, well made and saving money
December 1, 2011
I am using this with a Fisher fireplace insert and it has greatly improved circulation of heat throughout the house. My insert did not come with a blower and has a flange at the top of my insert that holds this blower in place without coming in direct contact with the wood stove insert. The blower unit at full speed is a little noisy but at 3/4 speed is hardly noticeable in the family room. Temperatures at the far end of the home have increased by 5 degrees on average compared to same outside temperatures last year.
Pros:
- Saving money - have not had to turn on the electric heat pump this year! - Quality of unit is above average and design is good. - Variable speed control is built into unit. - long 8 ft heavy duty electric cord
Cons:
- It's a little noisy at high speed - for my application - designed specifically for Drolet stoves - need a generic unit.

Throws a lot of hot air
November 29, 2011
The fan is fairly quiet at the lowest speed (I would not say ultra-quiet), and fairly noisy at top speed. It was easy to install however the supplied screws were too large (diameter) for the holes in my stove which is a Drolet Escape 1800. Overall it performs well and really throws a lot of heat as would be expected. I thought my stove would cool off more at the low speed setting, but the temperature stays the same and my house seems to heat up faster. I use the fan about 80% of the time now while running my stove.
Pros:
Well-made Moves a lot of air
Cons:
Fitment wasn't perfect

I am looking for a replacement for the fan/blower I have been using for about a decade. This system works very well and I really want something to replace what I have, as I am afraid that it is going to quit on me sometime soon. Take a look at the images I attached and tell me what you think I need.

Answer:
Your current blower appears to be very similar to the Monessen FK-180 fan kit, seen here. While I am not sure of the current CFM output for your existing model, it could likely serve as a good replacement.
