Stove Gaskets and Adhesives

The thing about Stove Gaskets and Adhesives is that a lot of home- and stove-owners don't think about them until something starts to go wrong. The simple truth of the matter is that the sooner you get on top of these items, the sooner you can expect your stove to operate with the ease and efficiency it was designed to. Many of the gaskets and adhesives in this section ensure that you get proper draft, proper venting, and proper combustion out of your heating appliance. In some cases, many of these items are even required by building codes. Whether they're required or not, though, it pays to make a relatively tiny investment in these Stove Gaskets and Adhesives to save yourself a large investment in stove or home repair down the road.

What is the difference between low density and medium density fiberglass rope stove gasket material?
1 Answer
The difference in density has to do with how tightly woven the gasket material is. Low density gasket material is typically used on non air tight stoves and will compress a good deal, while medium density is tighter and often used on controlled combustion stoves.
