One of a Kind Quality
October 6, 2013
I would consider myself an expert on 10 x 10 pop up canopies. Please let me explain. Have had brands from Impact, E Z up, Caravan and Shelter Logic. I now have the Vitabri V3 and it is in a quality class by itself. As most know there are two types of pop-up frames. Center pole and roof four corner supports. The problem with center pole designs is that they collect water on the top. I leave mine up all year. Use the the window walls and heat it during the winter. The best up until now was the Inpact with the 700 D top. However, It would always collect water during heavy rains. The frames on the center pole designs come in more durable constructed frames. The impact wall zipper broke within the first year. It leaked during rain storms. The problem with the 4 corner roof support frames is they do not come in a substantial heavy duty design. They do a better job against pooling water but just do not hold up. The frames bend in the wind. The Vitabri V3 addresses all of the issues plagued by all the other pop -up canopies. 1) The top and walls are very thick. Thicker than any other canopy I have seen. 2) The only zipper is in the doorway. There are two zippers in the door. I have never seen zippers as industrial as the ones used on the Vitabri. 3) The zippers actually has plastic that covers the zipper when closed to keep out the wind and rain, similar to high quality rainwear. 4) The top has a lot of tension and is tighter than other pop ups. So far rain has NOT collected on the top. Will keep updated. 5) The walls are connected at the top by velcro and to each other by velcro. The Velcro is 2 inches wide and very strong. 6) All seams are sealed. 7) There is some sort of tensioning cord running around the inside of the top. 8) There are tensioners in the middle of each of the 4 sides of the top ( between the corners) 9) The clear windows are the same material as on Sea ray / Grady white boats. Very thick but clear. 10) The frame is aluminum, weighs about 50 lbs. The side poles are 2 1/2 inch hexagon aluminum tubes. The bottom plates are 1/2 inch thick solid aluminum. Bottom line this is the best Pop-up made based upon my long experience. I can not give up my deck in the cold weather. October the pop-up and walls goes up, outdoor carpet on the deck floor, deck heater in the corner, TV and mini fridge goes in and sit out there all winter watching games, movies, smoking cigars during even snow storms.
